Our wedding venue sent us a rough wedding weekend schedule based on the previous wedding they hosted shortly after we paid our deposit. This was a great way to see how to space out vendors and create a rough look of how our time should be broken down. We wanted to input this schedule into Trello so it was easily accessible on our mobile devices throughout planning.
Last Trello Tuesday I shared how synching your Trello board to your Google calendar allows you to see fast-approaching dates on your smart phone. Here’s how we’re using this feature to schedule the wedding weekend.
Meet our Wedding Schedule board
Printable. Sharable. Editable.
For those in our wedding party that will use the app it’s a great way to keep everyone in the loop. For those who aren’t so tech-savvy this will be easy to print and keep on-hand.
Peter and I can add the synch link to our phones so we can try our best to keep on track and know when we need the photographer, hair stylists, and officiant to arrive.
Set a due date and time
I put the specific times in the card names on this schedule so the times are easy to read at a glance. The time for due dates auto sets to 12:00 PM but is easily changed.
If we weren’t going to be printing our board for family members I wouldn’t bother adding the times into the card name. But on the list view only the date appears at the bottom of the card so this wouldn’t be helpful for printing.
Here’s how the times appear on my Google calendar.
Easy to check while booking vendors and to try to keep the day on track. During our engagement shoot we asked our photographer for some advice that we’ll be changing our schedule to reflect. With instant updates to the board this is a great way to edit schedules and ensure you’re leaving enough time for each part of the day.
Give it a shot and let me know how it goes! Need help? Let me know, I’ve been called a Trello ninja a few times this week and I’m happy to help.
